Commissioned by Google Arts & Culture, figurines from the Idols Tititi series are inspired by the work of František Kupka, Emil Filla, Toyen, and Alphonse Mucha. Tititi figurines highlight prominent Czech artists and bring their work closer to your home and daily life.

The first digital collection of Google Arts & Culture devoted to Czech art, architecture, and design was introduced in collaboration with nineteen cultural institutions. It aims to preserve Czech cultural heritage for future generations and make it accessible to the public through the Internet. With its global reach, people worldwide can explore more than 2,500 artefacts, over 80 exhibitions, and more than 20 Street Views of prominent cultural sites in the Czech Republic.

How are Tititi figurines made?

Tititi is a brand founded in 2019 by Tereza Talichová, which has since managed to establish itself in the field of contemporary Czech design for children. It focuses on the author’s painted wooden figurines, personifying in an individual form a number of different types of people, artists or dramatic characters from theatrical or literary works, viewed through a playful lens and with attention to detail.

Each of the figures is first created by turning the body of the figurine from wood (spruce, oak, linden). Except for exceptions, it is a symmetrical, vertical shape, individualized according to the designed profile (silhouette) and then finished with an original painting
