The figurines from the “Beginning” series represent an imaginary version of particles that exist at a level beyond our senses. In this series, you will find characters such as Boson, Quark, Gluon, and others, which combine scientific fascination with artistic creativity. Each figurine is carefully hand-turned from wood and then hand-painted in detail.

The Beginning series was presented in 2024 at the Prague Castle Riding Hall as part of Designblok.

Another new feature of this series is the impressive height of the figures, which reach up to 41 cm. Each piece represents a unique combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern scientific concepts, making each figure unique and unrepeatable.

How are Tititi figurines made?

Tititi is a brand founded in 2019 by Tereza Talichová, which has since managed to establish itself in the field of contemporary Czech design for children. It focuses on the author’s painted wooden figurines, personifying in an individual form a number of different types of people, artists or dramatic characters from theatrical or literary works, viewed through a playful lens and with attention to detail.

Each of the figures is first created by turning the body of the figurine from wood (spruce, oak, linden). Except for exceptions, it is a symmetrical, vertical shape, individualized according to the designed profile (silhouette) and then finished with an original painting
